He was very brave and did not shed one tear. He looks so much older with all of his little curls gone. Excuse the lovely picture of me as I was also getting my hair permed at the same time;o)

After Carson got his haircut we went to visit Grandpa Williams. We are missing you guys and thought you might enjoy an update of our lives. We survived the wind storm. We were without power for two days, but others were out for much longer. Ryan has been vey busy with football. He loves it and is having a lot of fun. Brandon isn't playing any sports right now, but is looking forward to playing basketball in the winter. Paul and Steve have pretty much recovered from their 4-wheeler injuries. I finally found a job here in Troy at a family care physicians office. I started on Monday, and it feels good to be back to nursing. I knew that I missed it, but I didn't realize just how much. I do miss Carson terribly, though. It helps knowing that he is with our family and that he is being well cared for. I was busy learning how to draw blood this week. This was something that they didn't teach us when I went to nursing school. It has been a fun and interesting experience. I will be working two to two and a half days a week.(which is what I was hoping for) Paul and I have been talking about making a trip to NC to visit and get some of our things. Hopefully we will be able to do this in the next couple of weeks. That's about it for now. I will post some pics so you can see how much Carson has grown and some that may show just how onery he is!! Talk to ya later;o)

This picture was taken at Chapel at School when Ryan was chosen as "Student in the Sonlight"

We found Carson sitting on top of his highchair the other day. Most of you already know that the last month has been a whirlwind to us. Since my last post so many things have happened that I am not sure where to begin.

Brandon celebrated his 7th birthday. What a special little man he is. God has shown alot of grace on our precious boy. He is a fighter and has been since the beginning. It seems like forever ago that we were sitting at his bedside in Childrens NICU wondering what would happen. What did God have in store for us. Would Brandon survive, would he be a normal healthy child, or would he suffer severe damage from all of the trauma that he suffered. Well, I guess God has bigger and better plans than we could have ever imagined. Brandon is the healthiest, normal, happy boy we could have asked for. and believe me we did. We prayed alot and so did hundreds of others. Isn't it amazing what prayer can do;')

We spent July 4th at the beach with Steve and his family. We had lots of fun.

Prior to leaving that week for the beach we got the big surprise of the summer. The V.P. called Paul and asked him to move back to Ohio to take the position as Customer service manager. Wow, talk about surprise. We were not expecting this at all. So two weeks later and a lot of help from my parents, we moved back to Ohio and Paul started his new job. He loves it! We love being back with our family, but we do miss our friends back in N.C. a lot.

The boys have started back to school at Troy Christian. What a blessing this school is to our family. It feels like the boys are right back where they belong and that they never missed a beat. Ryan has sunk right back in with his old friends and is doing great. Brandon got the teacher that he was praying for and is making new friends. Brandon was even picked the first week of school to be "student of the week for his class." Way to go Brandon. We are soooo proud of you! We even have a special friend at TCS this year. Lauryn, my niece is going to school there now and we are just thrilled. It has been a lot of fun picking her up after school. Everybody calls my car the "big white bus" because some days all seven seats are full, and I love it.

Ryan is playing little league football. I can't believe how much fun he is having. This is his first year playing and he is doing awesome. His first game was last Saturday. He sacked the quarter back once and knocked him down hard twice. We just love watching him play. Paul just can't sit down the entire game and I am sure I am the loudest Mom on the team, not to mention the proudest. Way to go Ryan.

The rest of our time here has been spent enjoying our families.

I am going to try to post a slideshow of pictures but my internet doesn't always cooperate so keep checking back.Paul and Candyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12227473187462089442noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291285328389492271.post-78963635316912768312008-06-16T10:44:00.001-07:002008-06-16T11:21:27.141-07:00Company and more baseballMy brother Eric and his family stopped by on their way to Myrtle Beach on Friday and stayed the night with us. There was something missing. No way, my car was gone. It had been stolen. Can you belive it. Someone just walked into our driveway and took our car. I spent all morning on the phone with sherriff detectives and the bank, as my purse was also in my car. The thief took my debit cards and dumped the rest of the stuff out of my purse into the bushes. So, at about 8:30 we got a call from the Kernersville police that they had located my car about 4 miles from our house. Wow, I couldn't beieve it. So, anyway, Paul started talking to all of the neighbors and found out that one of them seen some guy trying to break into another car down the road. He had gotten the license plate # and had reported it to 911. Anyway, to make a very long story short, they have him in custody, we got our car back and they recovered some other items stolen out of our car. It appears that he wasn't able to use our debit cards either. He also stole our neighbors wallet out of his car.

I think we both have learned a lesson from this. I don't think we will be leaving anything of any value in our vehicles and they will be locked from now on!

Hope your day started better than ours and ends as good as ours did.

Talk to ya later!Paul and Candyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12227473187462089442noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291285328389492271.post-50176488251073063882008-06-11T12:14:00.000-07:002008-06-11T12:34:47.339-07:00Random picsHey,
Nothing new happening here. Ryan finished up his baseball season last night and Brandon will finish up this weekend. Then we move on to football. This will be the boy's first year of playing football and they are very excited. They have already done one football camp and have more before official practice starts on Aug. 1. Unfortunately that means no Ohio visits for a while. I miss everybody tons and can't wait to get a weekend back to visit. I am posting a few random pics from the last few weeks. Have a great week!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_Wtq9oYzIIFU/SFAmr5JXwgI/AAAAAAAAAPs/eowvJMNeXzA/s320/Carson+6-08+002.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210707304384020994" />
Hanging out before bath time....

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_Wtq9oYzIIFU/SFAmsLeOnmI/AAAAAAAAAP0/l63dZim4ysw/s320/Carson+6-08+003.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210707309303340642" />
Brandon helping me make strawberry jam.....

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_Wtq9oYzIIFU/SFAmsny4NCI/AAAAAAAAAP8/jvGlvt4a5FA/s320/Carson+6-08+004.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210707316906144802" />
Now I would call that stuck in a tight place.....

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_Wtq9oYzIIFU/SFAmtC1XkEI/AAAAAAAAAQE/scVpT0NKoEg/s320/Carson+6-08+007.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210707324164345922" />
Anyone for some oreo cookies???????

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_Wtq9oYzIIFU/SFAmtloVzqI/AAAAAAAAAQM/kEnaa2v5rjs/s320/Mom+and+Dad+5-08+011.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210707333504945826" />
What a whopper....:>)Paul and Candyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12227473187462089442noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291285328389492271.post-63144069999324423342008-05-30T08:50:00.001-07:002008-05-30T09:19:22.270-07:00Kindergarten Graduation!Last week Brandon graduated from kindergarten. It was so scarry. It started about 8pm and lasted to about 12:30 am. We were watching the storms on the news and saw that the worst part was moving right through our town, so I cleaned out our coat closet. It is the only downstairs interior room that we have in our house without windows. I made the boys spend about a half hour in the closet as the weatherman said that they could see a tornado forming just south of us. I even spent about 10 minutes in the closet. It was just raining and lightening and then the sounds changed,the direction of the wind changed and the wind started blowing very hard. Our cable went out for about ten min. Then everything just stopped. The rain, the wind and all. It was over just like that. Well, the next morning Paul left for work and his normal 20 min drive turned into an hour drive and the same thing on the way home. The farmers market, which is only 2-3 miles from our home was hit by an EF3 tornado. It suffered extensive damage and many of the vendors lost most or all of their produce/flowers/bushes. The gas station across from it had the canopy over the pumps blown clear off. A truck driver in that area was asleep in his semi which was hit by the tornado and he was killed. Our area was fortunate as it hit an industrial park and it was night so there was not anyone working at htat time. Areas south of us, 20- 30 min., were hit much harder and some people lost their homes. We are so fortunate. We thank God for protecting us. We drove around the other day to look at some of the damage. I took some pics which really don't show how severe the damage was but it might give you somewhat of an idea. We spend six days a week running boys to practice and games. We have enjoyed every minute of it, but it doesn't leave me much time for blogging. Since my life consists of school and baseball right now I really don't have much to say. I will just post some pics from over the last month. See ya.Paul and Candyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12227473187462089442noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291285328389492271.post-36770204214909368292008-04-04T10:57:00.000-07:002008-04-04T11:03:29.292-07:00Congratulations Beth, Mike and IsaiahWe were so happy to find out that we are going to be getting a new niece or nephew in Nov. I have been informed that I need to update my blog. So here it is, Beth:0)<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_Wtq9oYzIIFU/R_Zi_AuOYzI/AAAAAAAAALg/8IdSvJ198Bs/s320/Easter+2008+006.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5185440855628866354" />
This is our Easter picture of the boys at Franklin Bible Methodist Church in Ohio. The boys had spring break the week of Easter so the boys and I got to spend 10 days there visiting our family. We really enjoyed it.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_Wtq9oYzIIFU/R_ZkPAuOY0I/AAAAAAAAALo/DXbnETmU7Fc/s320/Easter+2008+016.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5185442230018401090" />
I don't think the boys realized just how much they missed their cousins until they seen them. They couldn't get enough of them while we were visiting.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_Wtq9oYzIIFU/R_ZlbwuOY1I/AAAAAAAAALw/Z0dZvDNRhyE/s320/Easter+2008+026.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5185443548573360978" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_Wtq9oYzIIFU/R_ZlcQuOY2I/AAAAAAAAAL4/l5U-iBN5Sz0/s320/Easter+2008+034.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5185443557163295586" />
It was so nice that Spring break fell over my Mom's birthday, so we got to spend the day with her. Brandon made her two stepping stones and Ryan made her a bird house(with the help of Grandpa, of course)!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_Wtq9oYzIIFU/R_Zm2AuOY3I/AAAAAAAAAMA/gNFaNrO0XBM/s320/Easter+2008+001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5185445099056554866" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_Wtq9oYzIIFU/R_Zm2guOY4I/AAAAAAAAAMI/j_Ie7mRZuHE/s320/Easter+2008+010.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5185445107646489474" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_Wtq9oYzIIFU/R_Zm3AuOY5I/AAAAAAAAAMQ/WIqtyBMDdys/s320/Easter+2008+025.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5185445116236424082" />
I can't say that I enjoyed the Ohio weather. It was cold(at least to me it was cold)! We did take the boys out for a little while to play. They enjoyed playing outside with Grandma. The red wagon was given to Carson by his Great-Grandpa Lavy. He really liked riding around in it.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_Wtq9oYzIIFU/R_ZofQuOY6I/AAAAAAAAAMY/JJfWxA7x-Bc/s320/Easter+2008+005.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5185446907237786530" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_Wtq9oYzIIFU/R_ZofguOY7I/AAAAAAAAAMg/rMb5mWmBQ1w/s320/Easter+2008+029.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5185446911532753842" />
I was able to find Carson a Bengals jersey while in Ohio. I thought it was so cute. Now the boys all have Bengals jersey's so I am going to go get their pictures done in them.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_Wtq9oYzIIFU/R_ZpTwuOY8I/AAAAAAAAAMo/JV8J3qLvbT0/s320/Easter+2008+020.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5185447809180918722" />
The boys enjoyed hanging out with Grandpa Williams also. It seems impossible, as anyone who has had a baby knows. It seems like yesterday that he came into this world. I can't put into words the joy that Carson has brought into our home. We went through a lot of changes over the past year and a half. He has made our adjustments so much easier. He is one of the happiest babies that I have ever seen. He is full of love and joy. He loves people and loves to see them smile at him and talk to him. He absolutely adores his big brothers. They can make him laugh easier than anyone. They are great big brothers.

Mommy the day that Carson was born...
<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5164873511760732402" style="DISPLAY: block; Sorry:) Just haven't had the drive to sit down and do it, nor the time. With an almost one year old who gets into everything and really doesn't like for me to work on the computer, time is limited.

We had a wonderful Christmas in Ohio. We were there for about two weeks. It was so nice to have lots of time to visit everyone. Usually it feels like we are always rushing and don't get to spend time with all of our family.

Here is a picture of our very exciting New Year's Eve party. We stayed at my parents and some of Pauls family joined us. We ate lots of food, talked and the guys watched football.

When we got back from Ohio, we had some beautiful weather. A couple of days it was in the seventies, so we took advantage of it and spent some time at the park. Carson just loved it. He didn't know what to do first. Should he explore, climb or swing????

We were also invited to a skating party, which we really enjoyed!

Before leaving NC for Christmas, my Ryan celebrated his 11th birthday. It seems almost impossible. Ryan is such a joy in our family. He is sweet, smart and funny. He is always doing something silly. What a blessing God brought into our lives when he gave us Ryan. He celebrated his birthday with some of our friends at the bowling alley. It was a lot of fun.

Brandon also had his last bsketball game. He so loves to play basketball. I know I am a little biased, but he is really good at it. He would play for hours at a time if he could. I can't believe there is only 12 days till Christmas. Nor can I believe that it is December. It has been 80 degrees here for the last three days. I can't say that I am complaining after seeing all of the snow back in Ohio. I do miss it some, but it has been nice to go out without a coat, play some football with the boys, and not be frozen. On the other hand I do hope that we get some snow while we are visiting in Oh. for Christmas. Then I can leave it all there and come back to my nice warm N.C.

I also want to say congratulations to my sister-in-law Amy, who graduated from nursing school this week. Way to go Amy. We are very proud of you!

As you can see, the tree is up and the house is decorated for Christmas. I grew up with colored lights on my tree and have decided to keep it that way for my kids. The white lights are very pretty, but I think the colored lights give a little more of excitement to the season. Brandon really enjoyed decorating the tree, as you can tell from the pictures.

Since it was so nice out I took Carson out to play in the grass the other day. I got some really cute pictures of him. He most enjoyed trying to eat the grass. He also found my pots and pans in the cupboard the other day. I think the pic of him in the cupboard is so cute. I can't believe that he will be one year old in just 2 months. It has gone by so fast, but all of us have enjoyed every minute of it.

Merry Christmas to everyone.

The Lavy's
Paul and Candyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12227473187462089442noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291285328389492271.post-24619467838277931272007-11-06T19:30:00.000-08:002007-11-06T19:36:33.395-08:00We bought Carson a walking toy a few weeks ago. It took him a while, but he is getting the hang of it. I have posted a video. This is the first time I have tried this. Hope it works!0)Paul and Candyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12227473187462089442noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291285328389492271.post-10666132942359452852007-11-05T13:14:00.000-08:002007-11-05T13:42:03.271-08:00Ryan's Big DayIt was a cool brisk morning in North Carolina. Paul and Ryan rose at 4:30 am for a day of father-son bonding. They dressed in their camo clothes and slipped on their boots. They loaded the red 4-wheeler in the back of Paul's favorite blue chevy, and headed on their way. It was a long drive for an anxious 10 year old. An hour later they arrived at their destination. They unloaded the 4-wheeler and all their gear and headed out into the cool dark woods. They parked the 4-wheeler a little ways away form the old wooden tree stand and began walking. When they arrived to their destination, they quietly climbed into that tree stand and settled in for a long days hunt. Several hours passed by as they sat quietly in that old stand. Ryan had dozed off. Paul nudged him saying, " I think there are two deer out there!" Ryan raised his muzzleloader and peered through the scope. 125 yards away Ryan spotted the deer. He sighted that deer right in his scope, aimed at the deers shoulder and fired. "BANG" He was so excited, though he wasn't quite sure if he hit her or not. They sat in the stand for about 45 minutes. They climbed down quietly and Ryan began his first tracking. They walked to where the deer were standing, but Ryan could not see any signs of the deer. Paul says to Ryan "keep on walking," so he did. Then about five yards away Ryan saw his great accomplishment. He had hit that doe and she was down. Ryan got excited, saying "yes!!!" He had hit that deer right in the head. "Nice job!" said Paul. He gutted his deer for the first time and loaded it up to have it checked at the check in station. The deer dressed out at 60 lbs. Not a huge deer, but a huge reward for a 10 year old. <img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_Wtq9oYzIIFU/Ry-L-4GVQ8I/AAAAAAAAAF4/K-0i7fUMMbk/s320/Ryan%27s+first+deer+003.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5129472412925379522" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_Wtq9oYzIIFU/Ry-L_oGVQ9I/AAAAAAAAAGA/Uwl0l9n5DWs/s320/Ryan%27s+first+deer+004.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5129472425810281426" />Paul and Candyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12227473187462089442noreply@blogger.com9
